Hamfest

The 2008 MARC Hamfest has come and gone and another great time was had by all!  The 2009 Hamfest will be at the same location on a date in July to be announced soon.  Here are the details:

The MARC Hamfest is located at the Kimberton Fire Company grounds, Route 113 (Kimberton Road) south of the intersection with Route 23 in Kimberton, PA.  The 2008 Hamfest flyer in pdf format is available here.  The maps show that Kimberton is northwest of King of Prussia and just west of Phoenixville, PA.  The 2008 MARC Hamfest is Sunday, July 13th.  Talk-in is available on the MARC repeater systems with coverage near Kimberton provided by 145.13 MHz PL 131.8 linked repeater in nearby Paoli.

Doors open for sellers at 0700 and for buyers at 0800.  Admission is $6 which entitles you to a door prize ticket.  Sellers have an outdoor tailgate space for $6 (one car width, head -in parking) with an admission.  An indoor table with electricity service is available for $10 each for 1 to 4 tables or $5 each for 5 or more tables with an admission.  Reservations for indoor tables are required: reservations@marc-radio.org

Food and beverage sales are provided by authorized vendors only.  Unlicensed children and spouse of a licensed ham admission are free.

This is a great day in the country!  Come to the MARC Hamfest in the morning and spend a leisurely afternoon in nearby Valley Forge National Historic Park.
